It was Deb’s idea to combine her poem After the weekend with my Limit of maps, using the additional music “eighteen pieces” by soda (France) and Admiral Bob (US). After I heard the remix I wrote:
“I’m astounded, Deb. Our poems are so similar I assumed you’d written yours in response to mine – until I searched back for your original After the Weekend.
And you’ve woven them together beautifully, as if the two protagonists are having their own conversations in their heads as they do in your poem. It’s a kind of collaboration I didn’t know about until it was over!”

Using Deb’s & my own voice to read each of our poems (which Deb intercuts in each channel) gives a wonderful synergy and realistic internal dialogues of the breakdown of a relationship.
