An unusually high occurrence of rejections lately – possibly because of the high volume of poems & short stories I’ve been submitting … On the POSITIVE side, some upcoming gigs:
• Max-Mo are performing this Sunday @ The Squatters Arms pub (cnr Port Rd & George Street, Thebarton) 6-8pm and we have some amazing new material!
• I’ve been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for my chemistry haiku “carbon” in the RiAus Sci-ku 2011 competition & I’ll be reading it and collecting my award at the Where Worlds Collide presentation ceremony @ RiAus, Stock Exchange Place 20/08/11. I’ve also heard it will be “up in lights” Congrats to all winners!
• I’ll be premiering a new poem (an homage to Kahil Jureidini) at the Friendly Street @ RiAus event Sci-odes, Sonnets and Supernovas next Tuesday night.
