In 2013 I mixed some Javolenus guitar samples with my own harmonicas and shakuhachi to create Over and Outback<\/em>. Recently I’ve remixed this with Jay’s Dam<\/em>.<\/p>\n

LISTEN<\/a><\/p>\n

Jay\u2019s dam, Kondoolka Station<\/strong><\/p>\n

a thousand square mile dotpainting
\nand we
\nless than a dot<\/p>\n

others have an advantage
\nseeing this land seasons ago as a lake
\nnow a salt encrusted red plain in drought<\/p>\n

animals lashed to this dying oasis
\nperfect skeletons picked bleached
\nundisturbed on their saline slab<\/p>\n

they say camels and emus heading south
\npiled up against the dog fence
\nthwarted by mesh and electrons<\/p>\n

a perfectly undressed kangaroo
\nwhite as an xray
\nflat on this sere horizon.<\/p>\n

graeme grabs a femur
\ndoes a long john silver
\nmakes a good impression<\/p>\n

our guffaws break a stilled silence,
\nattempt to drown out mortality<\/p>\n

as grains of salt<\/p>\n

defying a deluge<\/p>\n
