A great reunion with Amelia, fresh back from the Netherlands. If you weren\u2019t there, as well as live versions of the tracks on our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/max-mo\">MySpace page<\/a>, we did new material as well: Mike Ladd\u2019s <em>Ghost of Don Dunstan, Boomer Beach<\/em> and <em>Control Room<\/em> and my <em>The Thoughts of Charlie Sheen<\/em> and <em>Your Horrorscope.<\/em> Great percussion layering by Andy Mills and some fantastic improvisational interplay between Derek Pascoe (sax) and Steve Matters (trombone) was the icing on the cake. After the show I got to chat to two of  my favourite Adelaide poets <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wakefieldpress.com.au\/product.php?productid=445&amp;cat=0&amp;page=68\">Jules Leigh Koch<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brandl.com.au\/authors\/aidan-coleman\">Aidan Coleman<\/a>. Jules was kind enough to give me a copy of his marvellous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wakefieldpress.com.au\/product.php?productid=445&amp;cat=0&amp;page=68\">Language of Rain<\/a> collection (published by Rob Scott\u2019s Bookends). Being a new dad, Aidan hasn\u2019t seen much live poetry lately (although he\u2019s also about to give birth to a poetry-baby courtesy of his publisher <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brandl.com.au\/authors\/aidan-coleman\">Brandl &amp; Schlesinger<\/a>.)<br \/>\nA wonderful time was had by all.
