It plays with the idea of Russian dolls and the concept that we contain all of the selves that we have ever been.<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both;\">\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">as he wakes<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">the baboushkas reassemble themselves. a frightened little boy at the core climbs<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">into the teenager with the painted-on angry face and permanent hard-on.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">crawling into the ideals of some young teacher. each clothes himself<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">in another bodycasing, chrysalis reversed, until the final,<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">an ordinary middleaged man blinks,<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">wondering which if any<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">of the selves within<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">is him<\/p>\n<p>\u00a9 rob walker.<\/p>\n<p>(First published in micromacro, Seaview Press, South Australia, Sept, 2006<\/p>\n<p>ISBN 978-174-008-415-4)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I really like this remix of my poem The Baboushkas Inside by schizophrend.
